Susana Brás

Biomedical Signal Processing

Dr. Susana Brás is graduated in Applied Mathematics to Technology by the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto in 2005. She begins her professional career in the same year, in the area of actuarial of BPI Pensões. In 2010 she finished her Ph.D. in biomedical sciences where she studied several strategies of automatization and evaluation of unconsciousness in subjects to intravenous anesthesia.

Currently, she is a doctorate researcher of Universidade de Aveiro, in the IEETA/DETI. Her research is centered in the Affective Computing area, with a special interest in the biometrical identification of individuals, identification of emotions and emotional states, emotionally modeled environments, and extraction of information from biomedical databases.
