Magnetically Controlled Microrobots for Endovascular Drug Delivery Therapies

Dr. Antoine Ferreira is a Professor of Robotics Engineering at the Laboratoire PRISME, INSA Centre Val de Loire (France). He received the MS, PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Franche-Comté (France) in 1993, 1996 respectively. In 1997 he was a Visiting Researcher at the ElectroTechnical Laboratory (ETL), in Tsukuba (Japan). His main research interests are focused on the design, modeling and control of micro and nanorobotic systems using active materials, micro-nano-manipulation systems, biological nanosystems, bio-nanorobotics. He is an author of more than 240 journal and conference papers and book contributions. Dr. Ferreira was the Guest Editor for different special issues of the IEEE/ASME TRANSACTIONS ON MECHATRONICS in 2009, the International Journal of Robotics Research in 2009, the IEEE Nanotechnology Magazine in 2008, and the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON ROBOTICS in 2014. He is actually Editor of the Journal of Medical Robotics Research and Associate Editor of Robotics and Automation Letters.
